About Netflix

From CNBC,

  • Netflix shares tumbled 21.8% Friday after the company quietly admitted that streaming competition was eating into its own growth in its fourth-quarter earnings release Thursday.
  • However, Netflix still beat analyst expectations on user numbers for the quarter and earnings, while meeting expectations on revenue.
  • The question of competition is even more crucial given Netflix recently raised prices in its standard plan from $13.99 to $15.49 per month.
